Yes it’s true!

I think my four-year-old

daughter has OCD.

She’s:

• Smart
• Sweet
  
• Demanding
• Bossy
• Temperamental
• Empathetic
• Extremely caring
• Affectionate
• Etc.

Most of all, she’s my baby girl and I love her.

Yet,  I think she’s also OCD.

My wife and I are both very laid back. Our household is very balanced and actually quite serene.

Where did this come from?

Could it be genetic? Does is originate far up stream from one of our family trees? Reminiscent of some distant ancestor from the past?

When she says something that you don’t quite understand and you repeat something back to her that is completely different, she’ll go bananas!

When she eats dinner at night, her napkin needs to be positioned just right beside her plate or she’ll goes nuts.

She needs just the right amount of cream cheese on her bagel in the morning and the crust sliced off of her peanut better and jelly sandwiches.

She’s barks orders to our 18 year old son and us as well!

My wife and I justify it to ourselves that this attitude will serve her well into her older years!

God bless the poor sap that ends up with her 25 years from now.

Putting her to bed at night can also be a real party. Her blanket needs to be laid just perfectly over her with the edges touching the side of the bed in just the right way. She won’t do it herself and only my wife knows how to do it just to her liking.

She’ll ask you to sing a certain song along with her and god for bid you don’t sing the words exactly right!

If she makes a remark and you just halfheartedly acknowledge her, she’ll get very confrontational and say WHAT?!!!

We can’t get away with a thing around her!

Who’s raising who here?!!

I’ve never known a 4 year old to be so hyper focused and demanding!

Are we alone???
