Yes, it’s spring time again in Southern California!

Butterflies are all over, baby birds are chirping from their nests and hopefully, the wild flowers of the high desert are in high bloom.
We took a family outing a couple of Saturday’s ago in hope of seeing endless acres of beautiful wild flowers blanketing the rolling hills and green valleys of the high desert.

When we got there instead of an endless array of colors, we saw nothing but high brush with a few patches of flowers here and there.
Because it was windy, it was reported that the flowers tend to close up. In addition, the brush was especially high this year which osbsured many of the blooms.
Even though it turned out to be somewhat of a bust, we did enjoy some of the patches of flowers we came across.
It was nice just to get out as well!
